Overdesk builds tools for the money side of freelancing. Today that means two files: one that tracks what you earn and spend, and one that sends invoices and keeps score of who has paid.

Why these two files exist.
Most advice about freelance bookkeeping ends the same way: get proper accounting software. That is a reasonable answer if you are billing six figures and running payroll. It is a poor answer if you send four invoices a quarter and mainly want to know, once a year, whether you actually made money.
A spreadsheet answers that question perfectly well. The catch is that somebody has to build it, and building one that survives contact with a real year takes an afternoon you would rather spend on billable work. Then a formula breaks in March and you stop trusting the file.
So we built the two files that cover the whole loop, tested them, and sell them finished. That is the entire business. There is no upsell waiting, no seat pricing, and no plan to turn either of them into an app you log into.
How they get made

Overdesk is an independent operation with one accountable person behind it. The templates, and this website, are designed, built, and tested using AI tools. We would rather write that here in plain words than let you work it out later and wonder what else went unsaid.
Being built that way does not mean nobody checked. Each workbook is generated from a script, then opened, then run against expected totals before it goes on sale. When a product page says the ledger holds 500 rows, that is because someone confirmed the formulas cover rows 4 through 503, not because it sounded about right.
The practical effect for you is the price. A finished, tested workbook costs $14 to $15 here because it did not cost a studio a week to produce.
What you will not find here
No proof we have not earned.
There are no testimonials on this site. No star ratings, no customer counts, no logos of companies that supposedly trust us. Overdesk is new and has not earned any of that yet, and inventing it would be the fastest way to deserve none of it.
What we can honestly show you is the product. Every screenshot on this site is a rendering of the actual workbook you download, with the sample data that ships inside it, so the totals on screen are arithmetic the file really performed. The product pages list every tab and every limit, including the ones that might not suit you.
If a file will not open or a total comes out wrong, reply to your receipt and we refund you. Polar handles our checkout as merchant of record, so the refund and the sales tax both go through them. We would rather return $15 than argue about a spreadsheet.
